Impulse Movement is a one-person shop in Phoenix. Every part is designed, tested and 3D printed here, by a rider, for riders.
Printed on purpose.
Printing means a design can be refined from one batch to the next, without waiting on new tooling. It also makes shapes a lathe can't: Prime's internal oil passages can't be machined.
Engineering materials.
Prime is printed from engineering-grade filament, then heat-treated to survive the heat and pressure inside a fork. The Grom bushings are carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon. AirTech is one airtight piece of TPU.
Ridden before it ships.
Every design is ridden on our own bikes before it ships. The Grom bushings have done 5–6 hour days on ours.
Where it started
Kristoffer's first bike was a 2007 Yamaha FZ6, and its brake dive caught him out more than once. Nearly 100,000 miles later he moved to an FZ1, whose upside-down forks stayed flat on the brakes and still soaked up bumps. Prime puts that idea into stock forks.

Why not heavier oil?
Heavier oil stiffens everything. Prime stiffens the right things.
Stock forks push oil through a few fixed holes: too soft when the fork moves slowly, too harsh when it moves fast. Thicker oil just shifts the problem. Prime holds firm under braking and opens on sharp hits.
